Basic Design

The innovative 'Series 1400' design has introduced a completely new design standard for bolted, modular vessels.

The use of modern high tensile steels has been incorporated with a completely new Straight-Vertical™ seam design to combine optimum engineering efficiency with aesthetics. The Sealed-Mitre™ bolt-through jointing system gives a new level of security and ease of construction.

Design points of 1400 series
  • Hoop loading
    Calculate by the theory of liquid density, tank diameter and height. The pressure is calculated considering max value at the bottom of the tank. Seat thickness and bolt joint array is determined by pulling tension, hole support stress and bolt sear stress.
  • Wind loading
    Normally calculate by standard wind velocity of 100mph (AWWA D103) or 80mph (AISC). The position of wind stiffer angle is determined by finite element analysis*of wind load movement.

Roof

Roof has a variation of basic, flat, trough deck cover, circular cone pitch membrane roof and external beam, glass fiber roof and aluminum geodesics dome.

Designed based on various international standard with consideration of loading, wind load and snow cover load. Moreover it is possible to design for specific condition in terms of operational pressure and vacuum pressure. Standard operation condition of pressure is 8" WG and 2" WG for vacuum. If it is for experiment, pressures can be increased up to 50%. Further loading can be designed also.

By analysis of structural and finite element method, we evaluate effect of load, redesign and optimize.

Installation

The modular construction system allows rapid installation. Compare build times with those for conventional construction and you will be surprised at the reduction in site cost. Building standards are established by PERMASTORE and structures are built by trained erectors controlled by a local distributor.
